Milano and the Last Supper
After settling into the room, I took the Hotel shuttle to the airport where I caught an express train to Milan Centrale. There, i took a metro to the Duomo. I walked outside and voila!

Farewell Padua and the Scrovegni Chapel

Day 16: Verona beautiful, but no...
Our trip to Verona was a success in enjoying the incredible beauty of the touristic center of the city. Outside of the city center the city was less enthralling than either Genoa or Bologna. So that leaves r=today's trip to Padua to see if we can unseat

Verona and an Opera Rain Out
This is how the opera in the Arena ended. 10 minutes left in the first opera, Cavaleria Rusticana at midnight. There had been two rain delays and we were waiting inside as so many people (stretching back to the Roman Empire) had done before us, though probably without the masks.

Day 10: Genoa to Parma
In the last day at Genoa, I took Minne and the girls to see the sights they missed: The Chiesa del Jesu with the Ruebens, the duomo and a few other sites. And then it was off to city number 4: Parma, which was at one time considered the lead

Day 7: preparing for dinner a’la Mrs. Dalloway
I decided I would do the shopping for flowers myself. What a lark! What a plunge! Today I have to get a nice dinner ready for Minne and the girls when they arrive at 7 or 8 pm tonight. They think it is late but it is actually standard dinner

Day Six: Genoa by myself
This is the last day before my daughters and Minne join me on this adventure. I have been warned Sarah tried to get out of coming here altogether and seems to have some private grudge with me. She’s pinned all on a sentence from an email I sent her.

Day Two: Next!
Roma, 9 lujlio 2021 The morning started with the colosseum, a special tour that would take us to the floor of the colosseum. I walked from the house to the colosseum and it was a wonderful pleasant walk and saw many familiar landmarks and sundry roman ruins along the way.
